Green Development Zone Named Finalist in International Competition!

After being named an Early Winner of the international Sustainable Urban Housing Competition, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Department of State, and the American Planning Association, Buffalo's Green Development Zone was declared a Finalist yesterday by the competition judges! The Green Development Zone is the only project in the United States named as a finalist in this competition. The Green Development Zone, located on Buffalo's West Side, is emerging as an internationally-recognized laboratory for sustainable housing, community planning, and green jobs training. The Zone combines efforts by PUSH, MAP, Outsource Center, Homefront, and Habitat for Humanity.
