This past Saturday, PUSH publicly unveiled the latest addition to our ever-growing housing family: the 129 Chenango Cooperative. While there are some obligatory finishing touches that still need to be done, PUSH decided to debut its new co-op right along with Buffalo's first spate of decent weather in about five months.
With a list of attributes including: 2 two-bedroom apartments, 1 one bedroom, radiant heat, bamboo flooring, a cathedral ceiling, green-friendly carpet, and custom counter-tops, the applications to live at 129 Chenango are starting to pile up.
We'd like to thank everyone who helped us get this project up and running, but most of all we'd like to give a shout-out to the PUSH crew and our project manager Eddie Egriu. Without their tireless efforts, 129 Chenango would be little better than a pile of rubble, bringing quality and affordable housing to the hood.
People have a right to a decent place to live and a job they can pay their bills on. We will keep making sure that people have both.
